Pierlex
Social media management and content writing for a Lagos based UI/UX and software development studio, building a strategy that drove engagement and helped attract new business.
The Overview
Pierlex is a Lagos based UI/UX design and software development studio building beautiful, human centred digital products for startups and SMEs across Africa. They do serious technical work and needed someone who could translate that work into content that was engaging, accessible, and compelling enough to attract new clients. That is where I came in.
What I Did
I built a content strategy from the ground up and managed Pierlex's presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The goal was to grow their audience and turn their social channels into something that actually worked for the business rather than just existing for the sake of it.
A big part of the role was showcasing client work in a way that felt exciting and credible. When a design studio posts their projects well, the work sells itself. My job was to frame it right and get it in front of the right people to attract new business opportunities.
I also wrote articles and social content covering a range of topics relevant to their audience, from design and development trends to stories about the products they were building. On top of that I wrote copy for Figma based designs and educational web development assets, which meant I had to understand the technical context well enough to write about it clearly.
The Results
The content strategy drove stronger audience engagement across all three platforms. By the time the engagement I brought to the role started showing, the channels were more active, more consistent, and more effective at communicating what Pierlex could do for potential clients.
What I Took Away
Writing for a design and tech studio taught me how to make technical work feel human. The best content for a studio like Pierlex is not about specs and features, it is about the problems being solved and the people behind the work. Getting that tone right was the real challenge and the real lesson.
